Healthcare professionals take an oath to do no harm, but let’s be honest—too many patients walk into hospitals and doctors’ offices only to be met with dismissiveness, aggression, or flat-out neglect. And that’s a problem.
At Joydrop Wellness, my job is to make sure every single client I advocate for receives the care they deserve. When a nurse, doctor, or allied staff mistreats my clients—whether it’s through neglect, bias, rudeness, or outright refusal to provide adequate healthcare—I step in.
Your Patients Are Paying for a Service—So Do Your Job
Let’s be clear:
- Patients are not inconveniences. They are the reason hospitals exist.
- Patients are not beneath you. They are human beings who deserve respect.
- Patients are not asking for favors. They are paying for a service, and they have every right to demand quality care.
If a client of mine is in the hospital for a procedure, consultation, or treatment, and they are being ignored, mistreated, or dismissed, I will find out why—and I will make sure it’s resolved.

The Oath You Took Was to Provide Care—Not Pick and Choose Who Deserves It
Every healthcare worker, from nurses to doctors to allied staff, made a commitment to help people. That means:
✔️ Treating ALL patients with dignity, not just the ones you personally relate to.
✔️ Practicing patience, especially with patients who are scared or in pain.
✔️ Listening, instead of assuming you already know their condition better than they do.
✔️ Keeping personal biases out of care decisions—because medical discrimination is real, and it’s deadly.
If you fail to meet this standard, then expect a conversation with me—because my clients have every right to demand the care they were promised.
If You Can’t Provide Compassionate, Unbiased Care, Then Why Are You in Healthcare?
I get it—burnout is real, long shifts are exhausting, and hospitals are understaffed. But none of that justifies mistreating a patient. If you’ve lost your ability to provide compassionate care, then maybe it’s time to step away and reevaluate why you’re in this field.
Because the truth is:
- A patient should never feel afraid to speak up about their treatment.
- A patient should never feel dismissed or ignored when expressing their pain.
- A patient should never have to wonder if the care they receive is based on their race, gender, income, or any other factor that has nothing to do with their health.
Joydrop Wellness Is Here to Hold Healthcare Accountable
At Joydrop Wellness, I advocate for my clients because no one should have to beg for proper care. If your hospital, clinic, or practice is struggling to meet the basic standard of dignity, respect, and competent medical care, then don’t be surprised when you hear from me. This is how a patient should be greeted, with kindness, and trauma informed care.

Patients deserve better. And if they’re not getting it, I will make sure they do.
